Owangaroro is the stone eater katsina. His appearance varies among the villages. He is mostly seen during the Powamuya dance. He is known as an angry katsina that eats rocks and stones out of anger. A mudhead usually leads him by a rope tied around the stone eater’s waist.
In the Hopi Language, Owangaroro translates as: "an extremely mean person".
