The Hopis have many stories about the Spider Woman. It is said that she created people from clay. She taught weaving. She is the grandmother to the Warrior Twins.
She is not seen in any ceremonies. She is only known through legends. Artists who carve the Spider Woman use interpretations from books or other carvings of her.
Spider Woman is a very scarce are rare carving.
